CBS SUNDAY Morning 03/30/25: Elton And Brandi talk with correspondent Tracy Smith about the songwriting process and the challenge of collaborating on their first joint album, “Who Believes In Angels?” They also discuss their friendship, their families, and John’s belief that “art has to be painful sometimes.” The segment also includes exclusive footage of the behind-the-scenes of their recording of the album. In particular moment, where Elton John acknowledges that he was very emotional recording ” that he sang includes visuals of Elton emotional moment which is very touching, whilst trying to play the piano in the recording sessions.
Saturday Night Live 04/05/25: opening montage then Jack Black introduces Elton John and Brandi Carlile who paid a visit to Studio 8H to perform a pair of songs from their new collaborative album. The longtime friends appeared as the musical guests set against a starry, neon-lit backdrop with their names emblazoned on the walls, the duo opened with the rocking, 1950s-inspired “Little Richard’s Bible,” with John on piano and Carlile on guitar. Later in the episode, they returned for an inspiring performance of the title track from their new album, Who Believes in Angels?
This marked John’s first time back on SNL in more than a decade. He last appeared on the sketch comedy show in 2011, when he pulled double duty as both host and musical guest. Prior to that, he made his SNL debut in 1982. Meanwhile, Saturday marked Carlile’s third appearance on the late-night show. It’s a busy weekend for both musicians. In addition to their SNL appearance, they will also host a one-hour concert special celebrating the new album. An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile (that follows next on this DVD), featuring live performances, stories about the duo’s friendship, and an intimate look at the making of their new album.

Filming on 26th March at The London Palladium and accompanied by a live band, Elton John and Brandi Carlile performed songs from their new album, ‘Who Believes in Angels?’. The musicians will also played a selection of their individual greatest hits. Between these electrifying solo and duo performances, Elton and Brandi will also invite the audience into an intimate sit-down conversation on stage, hosted by their close friend Dan Levy, that will pull back the curtain on their 20-year friendship, the profound journey behind their latest collaboration and share intimate footage from their musical process. Additionally, throughout the evening, those closest to Elton and Brandi will pay emotional tributes to the artists’ illustrious careers.
