Description

The Coen Brothers celebration of 1960s folk music in their film “Inside Llewyn Davis” inspired the concert “Another Day, Another Time”.

Produced by T Bone Burnett, who also produced the films soundtrack, and held in New York Citys Town Hall, the concert features live performances of the film’s music, as well as songs from the early 1960s. Some of the greatest folk musicians (Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Dave Rawlings Machine, Rhiannon Giddens, Lake Street Dive, Colin Meloy, The Milk Carton Kids, Marcus Mumford, Punch Brothers, Patti Smith, Willie Watson, Gillian Welch, and Jack White) and the star of Inside Llewyn Davis Oscar Isaac assembled for one unique evening. Featuring interviews with the musicians and behind the scenes footage while theyre rehearsing for the concert, Another Day, Another Time gives an insight on the role folk music plays for them. A bustling salute to the sounds and the idea of Sixties folk music Rolling Stone

We first saw this concert way back when and it was GREAT..we watched it on pay per view several times…Loved it to the point that we had to have our own copy. So the search began and although Amazon.com and Amazon.ca advertised it, there were tons of complaints about not being able to play it in Canada or U.S., only in Europe…Then, Music Video Resources pops into the picture…They HAD it available and yes, their DVD will work in Canada or U.S. We ordered it and the DVD is GREAT…Sound and picture is clear, bright and crisp..it’s exactly as we remembered it….We’ve only had it a couple of days and we’ll be watching it over and over again…Great piece of work, so yea, Thank You MVR for this….We know any of your products will have the same quality this DVD had…Roland Lefebvre, Ontario Canada..

I can’t thank you enough; I have been searching for “Another Day, Another Time” on DVD in Region 1 in since it disappeared from Netflix shortly after the concert itself, years ago. Not sure why, but PAL (European) Region 2 format versions were floating around, but although I checked often, I found no region 1 versions, playable here.
The price was right, the DVD arrived quickly. I watched last night, it played perfectly: clear and excellent sound — just wonderful. What a joy.

As for the concert itself — it is hard to describe, it is a marvel, going back and forth from rehearsals to stage at Town Hall, with these terrific musicians playing traditional music in flavor, but with updated vitality. I can only say that the experience is uplifting; watching it gives an old-timer like myself optimism for the future of music and people in general, somehow.

Thank you MVR for giving me this long sought-after DVD. I can’t believe my luck.

I’ve been looking for this DVD for a year. I bought one from eBay but beware they do not play in the USA so it was worthless and not cheap. These guys are the ONLY website that sell the US version that will play on your US DVD player. It works perfect and the price is fair and FAR less than than the worthless one I bought on eBay. T. K.

I just want to say that I honestly could not be happier with this whole experience. First of all, I’ve been trying for almost 10 years to get my hands on this DVD and was finally able to get it here at MVR (Another Place, Another Time…Celebrating the Music from Inside Llewyn Davis. Concert at Town Hall). Let me just say the quality of this DVD is OUTSTANDING, very happy with it and the whole purchasing process! You have absolutely exceeded my expectations! And the personalized letter with your artist list was much appreciated. You truly gave an exceptional experience and I thank you for that!! Will definitely be back! Thank you again!
