Episode #1 Air Date: 01/12/13: “No Voice, No Choice” Episode Synopsis: Cyndi Lauper juggles her busy career with a family life in this reality series, which begins with the pop singer arriving in Los Angeles to perform on NBC’s “The Voice,” but there’s one problem—she has laryngitis. Elsewhere, Cyndi meets up with her pal Kathy Griffin for lunch.

2. Episode #2 Air Date: 01/12/13: “Derby Day” Episode Synopsis: Team Lauper goes to the Kentucky Derby. Tensions rise when Cyndi’s keyboard is lost, then she drops the f-bomb before a performance… on live TV.

3. Episode #3 Air Date: 01/19/13: “Cyndi’s Wild Ride” Episode Synopsis: Cyndi plans a day of fun with her family and friends at Brooklyn’s Coney Island, but she can’t seem to escape work calls and fans who want photos, which proves upsetting to Declyn.

4. Episode #4 Air Date: 01/19/13: “Cannes She Do It ?” Episode Synopsis: Cyndi performs a private concert in Cannes and brings David, but their plan for some romantic time away isn’t turning out as hoped. Meanwhile, Cyndi is excited about possibly performing with Rolling Stone Ron Wood.

5. Episode #5 Air Date: 01/26/13: “Don’t Rain On My PSA” Episode Synopsis: Cyndi shoots a PSA for her True Colors Foundation, while David and son play golf. When things on set don’t go as planned, Cyndi loses patience and takes over.

9. Episode #9 Air Date: 02/09/13: “These Boots Aren’t Made For For Dancing” Episode Synopsis: Cyndi goes to Washington, D.C., where she’s being honored for her work with LGBT youth. While there, she learns about lobbying and tries to drum up support for a bill among politicians, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal.).

10. Episode #10 Air Date: 02/09/13: “Cyndi’s Surprise” Episode Synopsis:  It’s Cyndi’s birthday, and David is determined to throw a surprise party. He enlists the whole team, and Declyn is in charge of keeping her distracted. Will they pull it off, or is nosey Cyndi going to ruin her own surprise?

Episode #12 Air Date: 02/16/13: “A Memoir” Episode Synopsis: In the first-season finale, as the release of Cyndi’s memoir approaches, she worries about how her sister and mom will react to the book and the family secrets that it exposes. Cyndi also heads into the studio to record a special version of her hit “Time After Time.”

The release of “She’s So Unusual” in 1984, catapulted Cyndi Lauper to the top of the charts and established her as a household name. She became the first woman to record four Top 10 singles on a debut album; Cyndi performs her entire album including (but not limited to) the tracks “Money Changes Everything,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “All Through the Night,” “She-Bop” and more. With her iconic four-octave voice, Cyndi celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Grammy-winning smash debut album with Front and Center Music Series. Taped from New York City’s Highline Ballroom, the performance marks the first time Lauper has ever performed the album from start to finish.
