1. (US TV) The Midnight Special 11/16/73: A rough edit of David Bowie’s The 1980 Floor Show from 18th – 20th October 1973 (and aired on NBC TV 16th November 1973) the complete show, here it is in a rough edit as my copy has the first 20 seconds of 1984/Dodo missing, I roughly tagged it on from the original transmission hence the low end quality for the first 20 seconds so don’t panic.;) (And of course I edited out all the Carmen/Troggs/Marianne Faithful & Amanda Lear footage out as you’re only here to see Bowie as with all the footage in the “Video Archives” Songs include: 1.1984/Dodo, 2.Sorrow, 3. Everything’s Alright, 4.Space Oddity, 5.1984/I Can’t Explain, 6.Time, 7.The Jean Genie, 8.I Got You Babe (Duet with Marianne Faithful), 9.1984/Dodo (39:12)

First broadcast: Thursday 5th December 1974: After a total of 74 concerts, David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs/Philly Dogs Soul Tour closed in Atlanta on 1st December 1974. three days later on the 4th December, Dick Cavett’s Wide World Of Entertainment screened this prerecorded appearance of David Bowie that had been taped in New York a month earlier while David was there for his Radio City Music Hall shows. During the Dick Cavett Show, David and his band gave performances of ‘1984’, ‘Young Americans’ and ‘Footstompin’. 4. (US TV) Dinah Shore 01/1976: David Bowie’s performance of “Stay” on the Dinah Shore in 1975. This rare vid features some crazy dance moves by the Thin White Duke and it’s a great performance. Rare Bowie interview with Dinah Shore. Watch for the part where he “bites” or snaps his teeth at her…she gets a little turned on by it! This follows his opening number of “Stay”. Later in the program David’s 2nd interview with Dinah Shore along with “Fonzie” from Happy Days TV Series. Rare Thin White Duke Interview with David talking about obsessive love and influences. Great interview!
