5. (UK TV) BBC 2 “Cracked Actor: A Film About David Bowie” 01/26/75: Is a 53-minute-long BBC television documentary film about the rock star David Bowie. It was filmed in 1974. At the time he was a cocaine addict and the documentary has become notorious for showing Bowie’s fragile mental state during this period. It was made by Alan Yentob for the BBC’s Omnibus documentary strand, and was first shown, on BBC2 in the United Kingdom, on 26 January 1975. the infamous documentary about Mr. Bowie’s life and career in 1974 during the Philly Dogs/Soul Tour. If you haven’t seen it already, check it out. It’s a must see for Bowie fans. (53:14)

(Netherlands TV) “Top Pop” 10/13/77: Interview, backstage footage and “Heroes” RARE UNAIRED RAW FOOTAGE for Avro TV. 1977 Dutch press interview for the Heroes album: Bowie discusses the meaning of the title track and what it means to be a hero, future projects with Brian Eno and R o b e r t   F r i p p, and the power of the media and artistic observation. Later footage includes photo session with Bowie and greeting young fans and posing for photographs, along with behind-the-scenes control room footage as he performs Heroes for Top Pop TV show. Interview continues with Bowie’s comments on the role of music in politics, being a rock idol, and the new generation of fans.  (38:33)

David Bowie Live at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas USA 04/10/78: The tour was actually called “Isolar II — The 1978 World Tour”, but was more commonly known as The Low / Heroes World Tour or The Stage Tour. These six songs were broadcast on USA television in a programme called ‘David Bowie on Stage’ sometime after  11/07/78.
