Released exclusively on the long since discontinued and deleted formats of VHS and LaserDisc the following has NEVER been REMASTERED and released on DVD until NOW!

This REMASTERED DVD is sourced directly from the original high quality LaserDisc and remastered to DVD for the first time ever! Quality is unmatched as it transferred from the long since deleted LaserDisc Master from OVER THIRTY FIVE years ago.

Background: This concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo theater was a 3-Hour TV Special that was NEVER released in any format at any time in the USA. This one time broadcast of this hugely popular TV special was released only in Japan on a special Double LaserDisc Set years later in 1993. This Double LaserDisc Set contained an impressive variety of artists and groups totaling over 2 Hours and 25 minutes long and included all of the entire original broadcast.

Years later in 2004 a DVD was released again only in Japan. This 2004 DVD (which is no longer available and was never re-issued) contained less than half the content of the original multi LaserDisc release from 1993 with a running time of only 71 minutes.

The original release of the Japan only LaserDisc Set was sourced for the REMASTERING of this 2 DVD Set. Still to this day, (apart from Japan) this vintage concert celebration has NEVER been officially released in ANY COUNTRY on DVD until NOW! So here, offered for the first on DVD in its original full length version and in the best possible quality is the REMASTERED from LaserDisc to DVD for all collectors of artists such as George Michael, Boy George Stevie, Wonder and so much more!

Received mine 11/21/2023 very happy to have to watch George Michael singing his parts with Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson. There are many other artists who performed that night and this 2 DVD Set contains the whole show!
