This REMASTERED DVD is sourced directly from the original high quality LaserDisc to DVD for the first time ever! Quality is unmatched as it transferred from the long since deleted 1991 re-issue from the USA from nearly THIRTY years ago.
Background: The only releases of any kind were on VHS in America in 1984 in MONO (not stereo) sound. Later in 1985 sae the releases on LaserDisc but only in Japan and USA. The 1991 re-issue LaserDisc is where this REMASTERED DVD is sourced from.
Even now the LaserDisc of this rare concert is offered used for $60.00. Still to this day, this vintage concert has NEVER been officially released here in America on DVD until NOW! So here it is for the first time ever on DVD for all the Go-Go’s Collectors.

Description: Recorded live on August 8th 1984 at the Greek Theatre in Griffith Park -Los Angeles, California USA. The Go-Go’s perform live-in-concert on their 1984 “Talk Show” tour. WILD AT THE Greek documents the girls in their prime, combining fun, energy, sweetness and even a few wild girl moments. Knowing now about the bands infamous “partying” that we didn’t know then its amazing how tight and professional this performance is executed. The lighter moment in the concert is when Kathy Valentine (bassist), gets hit in the head with a beach ball. Belinda Carlisle’s voice is strong, and though raspy due to constant touring, she really rocks out–much more here then on previous tours. Its a wonderful time capsule taking you to a special time in the summer of 1984 when the Go-Go’s were the queens of arena rock!
It’s interesting to note that scenes from the performance of “Yes or No” were later chosen to be integrated in to the conceptual music video for the same song that was directed by famous directing team Godley and Creme.

I have never seen this concert of the “Go-Go’s Wild At The Greek (1984)”. This DVD remastering is surperb, the sound and picture was so clear!!! It felt like I was there at the concert! Thanks!!
