Description: This concert tour showcases Joe Jackson in his absolute prime as a live performer. Although his best studio work was behind him, his ability to re-engineer earlier material and perform it with a superb cast of musicians has yet to be equaled. For those who know his music, it is possible to fully appreciate what this tour, and subsequent video release, had to offer. It’s important to note that joining him in this show is the late Mindy Jostyn.

For Joe Jackson fans, this is a real must-have. I don’t know how many people were able to see the laserdisc version of this performance (I own one). The DVD captures all the very best of the LD. The video quality is actually quite good but the original video recording itself was not high quality at the time. But the sound is amazing! Joe’s piano is beautifully captured in the entire range and volume. His singing is clear and sharp. This performance can be considered his high point. He even said afterwards, “After the Laughter and Lust world tour, it all turned to shit, basically. I had real bad writer’s block. I couldn’t even listen to music. I just lost it, totally. It was awful.” This is a fantastic DVD remaster from laserdisc.
