Description
New Order: Decades, initially released September 22, 2018: Part concert, part documentary, this film follows the band’s preparations in the re-staging of their acclaimed collaboration, So It Goes, with the artist Liam Gillick and the 12-piece synthesizer orchestra that spectacularly captured the headlines during Manchester International Festival 2017. The complexities extend beyond the technical and logistical: this is a band that rarely looks backward, yet for this project, they had to reflect on – and deconstruct – the band’s history, in order to create something very new. Mike Christie produces and directs, with Dinah Lord serving as executive producer. The film is a Caravan production originally for Sky Arts.

Hello my name is Mark. I am in Tampa, Florida. I ordered New Order ‘Decades’ Documentary from Music Video Resource on December 28, 2021. Here is my review: I loved it. I never heard of Music Video Resource prior to my order of New Order’s Decades. My interest in this particular video/DVD came from cable channel Showtime, which aired this movie/concert a few times. Because I am a part-time DJ, I love music and I love to dance. Decades has the exact music (New Order) which I dance to. Plus the actual production of the documentary is beyond perfect. It involves 12 college students who are part of the orchestra for the New Order concert(s). I could not find New Order ‘Decades’ on Amazon. Thus, I thank MVR for making this rare documentary available which I searched for, for weeks, on the internet. I finally found MVR! New Order and Depeche Mode are my favorite dance groups. Thank you MVR! And finally, the delivery/shipping of the video was also perfect!
