Description
Released exclusively on the long since discontinued and deleted format of LaserDisc. This extremely rare concert compilation was released only in Italy on LaserDisc. No other known format is available. These particular concert recordings have NEVER been released on DVD until NOW!
Background information:
This is a an incredibly rare non-commercial LaserDisc release from “Trade Mark Of Quality” (TQM) out of Italy. This original LaserDisc states the following so please note this quality disclaimer: It reads in Italian: “Ci scusiamo per la non eccellente qualita sonora di questo disco, realizzato da registrazioni di fortuna dell’epoca.” Tranlated in English reads: “We apologize for the not excellent sound quality of this disc, made from makeshift recordings of the time”
Considering this MVR has personally viewed the entire contents of this LaserDisc. While we agree quality is comparable to the time period of the 1960s it is still watchable and enjoyable from our standards. Through the remastering process MVR has improved wherever possible the overall image quality of all four concerts individually.
The mastering processes for the two black and white concerts included deepening the fading blacks of the footage and also ensuring that black-and-white footage is truly black and white by washing out any residue of color from that footage. In addition, the two color concerts have been correctly adjusted for hue/tint to better display proper skin tone that was not calibrated properly at the production of the original release. In addition, these incredibly rare concert recordings have received an audio upgrade to 2.0 Dolby Digital. The remastering with all these adjustments considered has slightly improved the overall image and sound for what is 1960s quality.
In closing it’s interesting to note that portions of these concerts have been seen in the Beatles Anthology documentary series but only as small clips and not in these larger segments that can be found exclusively on this remastered DVD of FOUR different concerts spanning a two year period between 1964 to 1966. Currently a used copy of the original untreated LaserDisc is being offered for as high as $279.00 on the internet as a used product.
Another original offer from your team at MVR!
