Part of the SkyArts’ Passions series. This is a beautifully made documentary, produced and directed by Paul Bernays of Artisan Pictures.

Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp explores the life and legacy of his childhood hero Mick Ronson, David Bowie’s right hand man throughout the Ziggy Stardust era.

It features interviews with Ronno himself, David Bowie, Mike Garson, Lulu, Dana Gillespie, John Cambridge – drummer from Ronno’s band The Rats, Bernard Butler, Roger Taylor from Queen, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran, music writer Charles Shaar Murray and classical conductor Charles Hazelwood who conducts a string section performing Ronno’s gorgeous Life on Mars arrangement.

Obviously fans want to see this documentary, but unless you have SkyArts channel, you cannot. I noticed that some crappy versions had been uploaded, which seemed a shame. So I edited this from a recording of the SkyArts broadcast. The file was only 720×576, so picture quality is not really HD. Adverts and the TV station talk-over at the end etc. have been removed. Running Time 44:20
