This docuseries “Surviving R Kelly – Part II The Reckoning“ premiered on Lifetime January 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2020 in the US. The first two of five episodes aired January 2nd and episodes three and four of five the following night on the 3rd of January with the finale of episode five airing the next day on January 4th. This in-depth documentary revolves around the allegations made against the artist and the aftermath since the original series aired just under a year ago. The series features a number of interviews from many women who Lifetime claims are “emerging from the shadows and uniting their voices to share their stories” including some new interviews adding to the existing allegations.

Along with the special, the producers will continue its partnership with RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and leading authority on sexual violence. A new PSA will air during the special urging sexual assault victims to speak up and seek help. Furthermore, several survivors will join RAINN’s Speaker Bureau, made up of more than 3500 survivors of sexual abuse who volunteer to share their stories to provide invaluable resources of knowledge and strength. Following the airing of the Surviving R. Kelly documentary part I, RAINN saw a 20 percent increase from the previous week in people reaching out to the National Assault Hotline for help.
