  1. BBC Four Session with David Byrne 10/31/08: From the Union Chapel in Islington, an exclusive performance from multitalented former Talking Heads frontman and world music guru, David Byrne. Featuring classic Talking Heads numbers, songs from his solo album Look into the Eyeball, as well as excerpts from the opera La Traviata, Cape Verde’s Cesaria Evora and a special version of his hit single with X-Press 2, Lazy.
  2. 60 Minutes 03/05/23: David Byrne is interviewed. He spoke with correspondent Anderson Cooper about his life and career, including his work with Talking Heads; his solo music; his hit Broadway show American Utopia’; his collaboration with Fatboy Slim Here Lies Love, which debuts on Broadway this summer; his online magazine Reasons to Be Cheerful; and the ongoing immersive experience he created in Denver with Mala Gaonkar
  3. CBS Sunday Morning 09/24/23: The restoration and re-release of the classic 1984 concert film “Stop Making Sense” is an occasion for the members of the band Talking Heads – David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison – to get reacquainted after decades of estrangement, and to revisit a moment of jubilant shared success. Reuniting for their first joint television interview in decades, they talked with “CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil about Talking Heads’ origins and their funky blend of rock and performance art; and how, within a few years of the film, the band went on a break that never really ended.
  4. Nightline 09/25/23: David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, whose musical Here Lies Love is now on Broadway, were on ABC’s Nightline to discuss the show, which host Juju Chang calls an “immersive and electrifying telling” of the rise and fall of the Philippines’ notorious Imelda Marcos and the People Power Revolution, and the importance of the historic all-Filipino cast.
  5. Late Night with Seth Meyers 10/05/23: David Byrne returned to NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers last night to talk about Here Lies Love, his musical with Fatboy Slim about the rise and fall of the Philippines’ notorious Imelda Marcos and the People Power Revolution, now on Broadway with a historic all-Filipino cast. They also discuss the famed 1984 Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense, directed by Jonathan Demme, back in theaters now, and Fred Armisen’s David Byrne impression.
